Just my opinion.

don't be difficult... there are normal versions of liog where they stand there for more than 5 seconds before going into the reprise... doesnt mean liog finished after 5 seconds of silence. likewise with smts

I think you guys are way off base. Every site determines what it wants to be. When we set up the almanac, we figured a site that was 100% based on numbers should be 100% objective. We've broken that once or twice in past, once for the good (LT7 announcement), once for the bad (LT10 announcement). But it is one of the most important tenets we have, but no reason why other sites should be the same. If every site was the same, there would be no need for our site, Ants and Nancies and TDC and WDS to exist at the same time.

It's his site, his site is based on community interaction, he can do whatever he wants with it. If he puts a note in his setlists about Fool To Think sucking a cock like last year, so be it. It's his right to do it, and your right to use another site if you don't like it.

and for the record, 2003 sucked a cock. Who gives a fuck what a setlist looks like. It matters what it plays like.

TDC isn't a news information based site. It's just a messageboard.

the problem with the internet community is everything happens too fast now and a great show instantly becomes a classic or epic with 10% of the fan base. So much for giving a show time to add some luster.

First off, please don't ever compare your site with Ants - it demeans the countless good things you guys have done for this community. Your site is hands down the most important one in the community. Not just because it give us everything and anything we need almost instantly, but because it acts as a home base as the community continues to expand and grow with the band over the years. Now as far as Ants goes, I would agree with you except for the fact that DMB's people are now pimping Ants out. In doing that, I feel there should be some level of responsibility and unbiased representing of the fact, as they are being held as the gold standard of DMB message boards. Like I said, I don't give a shit for me, but for people who don't know any better, it really gives them a warped perception (Jake's) of everything that has to do with this band. Hell, these people treat him like he is a part of the band...it's just not right.

You shouldn't be allowed to write a review without actually being there.

My problem is that he thinks people care about what he has to say.

My problem is that some people actually do.

I mean I appreciate what he does for the site and community, but his opinions are as bad as his writing.

in all fairness, about a page ago everyone was upset at him because they thought he was there, thus negating his credibility because of attachment to the show... now we find out he wasnt there and the argument just gets flipped, still making him at fault.

dont get me wrong, the guy's the head of the most frustrating, juvenile dmb forum/website out there, and he's clearly full of himself... but at least be consistent with your arguments for why he blows
