If you haven't heard 'Be Yourself,' do yourself a favor and don't.

Yeah they imploded somehow. But Luke, the singer, has been in Guster since 2010.

I did see it at my last Alpine show, but I don't remember it.

It sucks, they suck, he sucks. Now go back to hiding for another year only to come back for a week and remind us all you've been to Alpine.

I'm ready to say that this album is superior to both BWGGK and AFTW. That is all.

For sure BW. Need a little more time to determine AFTW.

i don't think i can put this above AFTW or BW, because it's New DMB. and i'm not fully on board with New DMB yet.

it's basically dave/carter/stefan with a peppering of other guests. AFTW and BW was older DMB, songs that had horn and violin accompanying the melodies of the guitars and vocals. CT is all dave and his guitar. which is fine, it's cool, some of the songs are good and i like them.. but's it's new and different.

i imagine #41 on Crash without the amazing sax and violin during the choruses... and that's what some of the songs on Come Tomorrow sound like. they're missing the sound that previously made DMB DMB.

Norlander said it:
"This record overall is elevated, if not saved, by its abundance of good-to-great choruses: "Samurai Cop," "Idea of You," "She," "Virginia in the Rain," "Again and Again," "Come On Come On" and "Do You Remember" all bring the hooks. In many cases, those songs are driven by Matthews' riffs, and the melodies on most of them are self-assured. Much of DMB’s best work starts with these foundations. On Come Tomorrow, they're conspicuously missing solo or play-under accompaniment."

Eh Tim is all over this disc too. We are missing the obvious 2 things, Violin and Sax solo's. I'm over the fact they will never sound like they did on Crash and UTTD and BTCS. This is leaps and bounds better than BW and certainly AFTW. It's just sad what they did with AFTW, it could have been a great record.

I think I agree. The true test will be when the dust settles and this is no longer new, but I do think I enjoy it more than those. Which is such a huge, pleasant surprise to me.
