Not so much a rumor as much as it makes sense for them to do, with doing Mohegan and the OK casino, as well, and not having any Philly-area shows. Hard Rock took over the old Trump Taj Mahal last year and is booking concerts out the wazoo at the Mark J. Etess Arena. There's a gap between Pittsburgh on July 3rd and Holmdel on July 8th, so a Sunday-Monday in AC would make too much sense.

I see the almanac has the Cincinnati music hall as the venue. Man that would be cool

Later start. Interesting.
Hope we get some more SiriusXM broadcasts. And a live stream or two. I wonder how many rain delays/show cancellations there will be this tour? |

As much as it’s become tradition to see DMB at Camden every year and these other venues (and you know how I feel about Philly showS), I’m really glad they’re changing it up a bit. Camden I don’t beleive sold out the last few years so this is probably more or less a business decision to increase demand in the tri state. Just a guess.
I think the setlists and the playing will reflect this. It won’t be “well here we are at Camden again let’s go through the motions”. It gets like that for bands at this level. I think playing some different places at different times of the summer will make things feels more fresh. It’s also a slightly shorter tour—39 dates instead of 45+. Still should be shorter imo overall, but I guess that’s fine.

DMB has been trying to coordinate a Flecktones opening slot at Gorge for quite a few years now. This is a very big deal to me. I'm going to finally make it out to the gorge after 25 years.

SPAC is SPAC - unreal energy. Nothing beats the Gorge. A life experience.

I have a comped ticket connection at Mohegan so I think I'm gonna hit up the tour opener. Went to a show in 2018 but had lounge passes through a friend I don't see much anymore who is connected to the band and we ended up just drinking and shooting the shit for most of the show so I really haven't attentively been to a DMB concert since 2015. Feels like a good time to give it another go. I know people love outdoor summer DMB but a small arena is pretty appealing to me.

I think I say this every year but it really is a shame that we don't get opening acts throughout the entire tour anymore.

I had a couple stinkers as well. But at least, for the price they charge now, give us more live music.
