Not that I truly care, but the Rock HOF isn't strictly for Rock music. Biggie and Whitney were two of the most influential artists of their respective genres and culture over the last 30 years. Why are people miffed by their induction?

Agreed. They're bigger than the Doobie Brothers, but nobody's said anything about their induction yet.
T-Rex is the only one I'm thrown by. If I'm being honest, I don't even know who they are. (EDIT: Correction, I know "Bang a Gong")
But apparently they were really influential in the UK.

I'm most interested to see who actually inducts Biggie. I ASSUME it will be Diddy, but he's so boring on the mic. Snoops induction of 2Pac was great.

I think this is actually a good thing. Hopefully it puts a bit of fire in their belly agagin. No need for stagnant work at this point. If they had gotten into the hall, they would have probably ridden off into the sunset of a full on nostalgia act.

Im hoping for the turn around at least.

The why claim it as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, wouldn't the Music Hall of Fame be more accurate?

I just know the artists they've been inducting over the last 30 years haven't all come from the Rock genre. Doesn't really bother me.

Because it's really expensive to change the name. It was created in the early 80s, they didn't foresee Hip Hop being a thing. Besides, your name is more problematic. For instance, you'd have to have Beethoven in the Music HOF. It's Jan Levine's vanity project, when Hip-Hop became popular he started including Hip-Hop because he's nothing but a fame whore.
