I do like artists’ reactions to other artists on the RRHC ceremony. Joan Baez gettin down to Tupac was a trip. I look forward to watching it, and seeing other people’s reactions.

Edit: one ballot out of 1,000. So not much.

I read somewhere that no artist who won the fan vote didn’t get in.

In the last 9 hr PB went up approx 4500 and DMB almost doubled that

Daves recent comment about feeling undeserving or whatever he exactly said doesn’t help the bands case of getting in either imo

I listened to the CEO of the Hall of Fame give an interview here in Cbus. He talked glowingly about all the nominees and barely mentioned DMB. The DJs said that DMB deserves it but also probably won't get in this year since they are "Still so relevant and touring nonstop."

Not sure what that means but it does kind of make sense. Maybe some voters would say, "They'll get in eventually b/c they'll be around forever. Let's put in some of these older older bands in first."

On the other hand, Pearl Jam and Radiohead got in so...

What's going on with Pearl Jam anyway? They released that shitty single over a year ago it seems like, and haven't heard anything about an album since. Really long break since Lightning Bolt.

Humility never hurts with something like this. Being arrogant and brash about it would be much worse.

Eh, I think it's insincere. They're one of the biggest bands in the world the last 30 years. They broke a lot of barriers - along with records in terms of ticket sales and #1 records.

I know Dave likes to play the "woe is me" card a lot but... your band is a fucking power house. Of course they belong in a museum dedicated to rock music

Everyone wants to win and thinks they're good enough to win. But nothing positive comes from actually saying that.
