People really are making a big deal out of this., DMB will eventually get in. So many good bands took a long time for them. I’m not surprised.

On the other side, they should not allow any IP address to vote more than once, that’s really stupid. It’s not really 1 million votes when you have 10,000 people voting multiple times per day. That’s their own fault. And yeah it’s also really stupid to even have a fan vote at all if it doesn’t factor in. It’s like the popular vote in elections. They should make it more clear that it doesn’t mean anything.

Considering it means nothing, I think the real problem is actually DMB encouraging fans to vote every day. If it doesn’t matter then why put your fan base through that.

I mean technically it does factor in. The fan vote is 1 vote of the 1000 votes that are made.

How it was being used was made pretty clear if you took the time to read the rules of the fan vote instead of assuming. It's on you as an individual to educate yourself on the process not the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's job to spoon feed it to you.

The WH does the same with ticketing, you have to read all the terms of service to understand how they they do ticketing. If you just click accept and request tickets thinking it's all done by seniority then that's on you not the WH.

Agreed. Some of this seems like the hollywood foreign press selecting nominees only to get a chance to meet and spend time with those actors.

It's really hard for me to comprehend how Wu-Tang is not in the HOF. I mean...who cares really, it's all garbage...I still love Daryl Hall on stage calling the whole thing bullshit.
