DMBLive - February 22, 1994 - Last show at Trax
2.22.94 Trax Charlottesville, VA
[Only registered users can see links.] ![]() Dave Matthews Band February 22, 1994 Trax, Charlottesville, VA Seek Up Tripping Billies The Song That Jane Likes Help Myself What Would You Say Satellite #36 True Reflections ----------------------------------- Improv jam » Ants Marching Minarets » Typical Situation Granny Jimi Thing Lover Lay Down All Along the Watchtower Dancing Nancies ----------------------------------- Halloween After cultivating their local following, the band’s hard work started to pay off as they spent more time performing outside of Charlottesville and the Commonwealth of Virginia. This show marks their last performance at Trax, and the beginning of extensive touring that would take the band across the nation and around the world. The room’s energy is palpable and the musical delivery spot-on in this recording. This 17-song show hits many favorites and sweet spots, including a 13 min+ show-opening “Seek Up.” Only available as a two-track recording, this performance is a perfect companion piece to Live Trax 37 - the band’s first multitrack recording at the same venue a year prior. I wouldn't say the energy of the room is palpable. Good show, but if it is like the board we already have it is pretty sterile.

Just tried to buy it, and just like the last one when I hit checkout Chrome tells me that my connection isn't private and my info is exposed. Tried on my desktop and tablet, and same thing. Is anyone else having this problem?

WWYS and Satellite... listening to them totally wing these jams is pretty special. Can you imagine Boyd just doing his own thing on the Satellite intro now?

There are spots of nasty feedback in the first two tracks, could that be what you're hearing or is it definitely Boyd?

Ok show. I don't mind that it was released because of it's significance.

Giving this one a listen now (I had to use my work computer, but I finally got it). For a board, this sounds really good. It's missing some low-end, but it's a very nice, clear mix with a surprising amount of crowd.
And so far it's a good show. I could have sworn I had a copy of it somewhere, but listening to it now it doesn't sound familiar to me at all. No final judgement yet, but it definitely starts very strong. The BIllies and Jane are both fantastic.

Yeah, this isn't going to go down as my favorite early '94 show, but it's pretty great, both as a historical document and as a show that has some real standout performances. Definitely enjoyed it a lot. This Ants is immediately one of my favorites.

I still have a christmas CD in my car because my kids are obsessed with it, Did anyone else hear the "Frosty the Snowman" tease from Roi at the 5 minute mark of Watchtower??

This one never got enough love. I love this Typical. Hard to believe the DMBLive series has been dead for nearly 5 years.
