Listened to some other previews and they weren't as ridiculously Peter-heavy as Help Myself, so I went for it.

It is genuinely remarkable how clear, well-recorded, and well-mixed this sounds.

Has anyone listened and care to give a report? Us disc suckers are stuck with the wait for the time being.

I'm not the best person to post a review, since I've always liked Butch DMB the best and never really listened to anything from the early 90s. Even in 00-02 when I was massively into tape trading, my collection pretty much began in 1998. Now, I still don't have any of the DMBLive series except the '98 show.

But: I found this pretty fascinating. Tons of arrangements I've never heard before, truly shockingly good sound, Peter is mixed well, and the performance is top notch. They haven't played a Billies this tight in 15 years. I thought it was going to be a historical oddity I'd listen to once, but I'm enjoying this enough to listen again for sure.

If you already are familiar with all the 1992 arrangements and jams and Peter parts and everything, you may find it much less fascinating than me, but I bet you'll still be surprised how great it sounds.

This show is just as good as I thought it would be. So tight, so inspired, just fantastic. You can tell they were really hitting that next level...as early 1993 would make Peter leave the band as the band exploded. This is one of those "next level" shows for the Time period. Similar to how 12.31.93 for Phish kind of marked the end of an era for them as the following year they were headlining arenas for the first time.

This show for those following the band was one of those moments where they thought "this might be the last time I can see them this close, for this cheap"
