I'm very thrilled for this. I've thoroughly enjoyed the 2 dmblives from this era. Love the jammed out feel to the 1992 shows.

Maybe it is because I looked at it on my phone. I will check it again.

edit: Yup, I was wrong. Definitely a 92-95 pic.

Not a great cover though

I don't know why I find it interesting they refer to Spotlight as 'retired,' but I do. Not 'long dorment,' or some shit. Retired. Deader than fuck.

Excuse me, THE now retired Spotlight.

Looks like a great show, but nothing I'm interested in buying. I feel like I have a ton of similar shows from 92 easily available to me.

Was hoping for the summer 98, 9/00, spring 02, July 2004 show.

I think so. This Ants is pretty great too. I'm pretty surprised they chose this one for a release, I don't think it's a great show, but it's fairly good. Can't wait to be able to give it a full listen with the LT treatment.

Also, I just listened to this show a few months ago and I remember Warehouse being pretty great with minimal Peter shenanigans.

Not that excited by this. Have enough '93 stuff. And what I've heard from '92 I'm not keen on. But should be interesting anyway. Cool that it's the first full mixed show, that's for sure. I'll listen.

No really you will not regret listening to this show and the fact that we don't have a compete tape of the show in circulation makes it even a better choice. This is roots DMB, without shows like this, the band wouldn't be who they are today. I'm def buying.

I totally get and appreciate this POV. It had to start somewhere. But this sound is probably my least favorite DMB. Roi is the only thing I like a lot about it. He wails in those early years. But Dave's voice is so nasal, his guitar sounds too light and hollow IMO, and I truly dislike Peter Grieser's Casio keyboard sound more than most of you hate Rashawn and the Lovely Ladies. I like having a couple shows from this era, but I don't really ever listen to pre-1995 shows.

It definitely is, although if the 25th anniversary has anything to do with this selection then the cover art is a real head scratcher.

This. I'm not much of a Peter era fan, but a multi-track of such an early show is cool. I just hope Peter's Casio keyboard is low in the mix.

Multi-track Griesar era show: If such a thing exists and they could put it together, I'd buy it

Multi-track '94 show: Ditto if they did a '94 release too. They were filming the WWYS video during a 3 night stand at the Fox in Boulder Colorado in November of '94. It's possible they could have been recording in multitrack at the time and maybe they could give us a nice little compilation of the 3 night stand a la Live Trax 30

Specific 1995 shows: We've got so many '95 releases now, but there are still some shows I'd take - the RSO shows, 8/15, and 8/20

Cow Palace '96 - CAASH baby

Early Summer '97 with the Flecktones - I'd take anything, but preferably 6/8

Any show I was at - I'm sure you'd all do the same, but in particular 5/30/99, 7/7/04, 6/21/08, 6/13/09, and 6/8/13 would all make good releases aside from being some of the best shows I attended

The only open ended years for me are 1998 and 2000 now. I'd take just about anything from those years, but in particular:
1998 - One of the Herbie Hancock shows, 8/7, 12/3, 12/7, or a good show with Greg Howard
2000 - As much of the September run that they're willing to give, I'd take

I'd probably also be willing to drop cash on a top notch show from 2002 or 2004 as well.

What would your list look like?
Check.

Keep making your way down this list DMB camp, please? I am happy with what we've gotten in the last year and this is no exception.

I remember listening to the incomplete recording of this show and loving "Boyd's Blues" or "Last Call Jam" or whatever you want to call it. I don't see it on the tracklist here but I assume, based on the description of the show, that it's here because Leroi was totally egging Boyd on during that Improv.

So yeah, Griesar era isn't my favorite but I will be buying this one.
