Finally got a Nintendo Switch - pretty incredible design from Nintendo on this one.
Also purchased Govee lights (they're knockoff Philips Hue for a fraction of the price) that comes in on Saturday! |

I bought my wife a Roomba for Valentines (don’t judge. She told me that there was nothing she wanted more). That was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It’s already making a big difference with three kids and a dog running around all day.

Always curious about these things, but what is the capacity? I mean how much can this really clean up at a time?

It can do our entire first floor (approx 1300+ sq ft). We have to empty the bin after every job, but that’s not a big deal at all. It will stop and send a notification to your phone if it gets full or stuck or anything like that.

That is much more than I would have thought...especially with dog hair. The shedding here is out of control right now.

the roomba is totally worth it, just the ability to get underneath furniture (couch/beds) alone is great. I usually let the roomba go every other day and use the full vacuum twice a month. I have two small kids, but no pets.

Well, ours is a short hair chihuahua, so there really isn’t that much dog hair. But you could probably run it once a day and it wouldn’t be too bad. We’re running ours three times a week. I actually forgot that it was scheduled to run last night and didn’t know until I woke up this morning and had the notification on my phone about it finishing.

My brother has a boxer / beagle mix that sheds like crazy and his roomba has been quite efficient

You folks using the 675, the 980, or something else? I’m considering one.

I got the 675. It doesn’t have all the features, and some of those are pretty nice, but I just couldn’t justify paying the extra for them.

We just got a 2021 Pacifica Pinnacle - had to get another minivan for our old dog...too hard to get her into anything else.

Has anyone’s Roomba become “drunk” as a result of the newest update as is being reported? I’m not giving up on it, I’m postponing my purchase until the patch hits.

Well, the 675 always just kind of wanders around bumping into things, so I’m not sure I’d notice the difference. But I also run mine at times when I’m not really paying attention to it, so I haven’t seen anything. It seems to be working fine.

Drunk Roomba? I think I want one MORE after reading that. He sounds like a good time.
