A few notes on Pujols.

10 years is crazy, sure, but it isn't that bad of a contract for Los Angeles. You are still getting the best hitter in baseball for the next 4-5 years. Coupled with the fact he can get more downtime as a DH. It should be OK (until years 8-10).

Very important to remember that LA is up for a new television contract this year. They made about 50 million dollars off it last year. Reports indicate they are eying as much as 150 per season on a new deal. This only helps.

If they can win a WS, the increased value of the franchise will make the deal worth it. Their owner is loaded. I think this is great for LA.

I also don't buy that Albert is lying about his age. A great read about it here: [Only registered users can see links.]

Part of me wants to go out on a limb and say he goes to St. Louis. But I don't think he will.

Doubt he goes to Seattle or Chicago. Probably not the Brewers.

I don't think the Cubs are going to offer him the kind of contract he wants.

I say he goes to Miami or Washington.

Still nothing on Prince Fielder. Last report I read was Scott Boras was going for 10 years at 25.5m. Anybody think a team will pay that amount for that long? I wonder if the Giants could snag him?

I think someone will give Fielder at least 8 years. 10 isn't out of the question.

I wouldn't give him more than 6 (7 with an option)

I wish, but Sabean already said "no big splashes" this offseason....that Rowen and Zito money is killing us....
