great seek up.

still wish there was more crowd and a bit more weight to the sound in the mix, but it's not a big deal.

for some reason '96 is the arbitrary line in my head where i want the mixes to be more "professional" - live trax style, and i don't necessarily have a good reason for it.

I like the sound of this one much better than the Oct. '96 DMBlive show.

#41 is best as a 9-10 minute song, IMO.

Checking this one out for the first time tonight. It's a good show, until Billies, when it suddenly becomes a great show. I mean, it's solid throughout, but damn, they really kick into gear at the end and for the encore. I'm relatively indifferent to Ben Harper in general, but I like what he adds here. But that Recently and DIDO are the highlights for me. I'm going to have to go back and listen to the Austin show again, but I think this might be my favorite released '96 show (aside from LT7, of course). Man, that is one funky assed Recently.

my most listened-to DMBLive release. Recently is great, and I love this version of LIOG. Excellent Billies and I dig Leon on DIDO although he's a bit high in the mix.

Yeah, I honestly don't even critique the mixes on the DMBLive releases. There are times when I notice something grating, but given what they are, I'm just happy to have them.

Giving this one another spin, and wow, this LIOG is fantastic.

Good show. All the 96 Larry makes the whole is 96 boring/tired discussion interesting. A lot of good stuff in the 96 releases we have. Was just listening to the Dave solo Watchtower from that October show.

I like that Austin show a lot. I suppose I should listen to this. I’m not sure I ever made it all the way through.

I listen to bits and pieces from all the 96 releases, wouldn't really say I have go-to show though.

To me that and the 10.3 Msg show are 96 shows I go back to pretty consistently. If I am looking to listen to 96.

Fall 96, hard to not say that we haven't gotten 3 of the top 5 shows of that tour between MSG, Austin & Cow Palace.

Can we say that about any other tour? I'd buy 8.27 & 8.29 as top 5 of 2000, but the other three are probably Bela shows to me.

You could say 4 if you add in 12.31.96 as fall 96. I think that one sits clearly atop the list too.
