I get what you're saying but it's actually better knowing it's bullshit. If it was real I'd probably just feel sorry for him. But, since he's in on the joke, it becomes more of an Andy Kaufman type thing.

I think we always wanted to revamp it... ironically, actual design work FOR the band got in the way of me redesigning and working with Noel to relaunch it back in 2005 and on... we both now run separate companies and while it holds a special place in my heart, and helped launch my career, I think we realized it was never going to get revived :/ Life and other things just got the better of our slowly weakening efforts and desires to rebuild it.
I made some good friends through AMI, many of whom I still keep in touch with and see- my ex-fiancee of ~6 years and I met through AMI ![]() Anyway, it was just time. Thanks to the 45,000+ registered users we had in total over the life of the site ![]() [Only registered users can see links.] |

It was the art print (not with the DMB/Cville text), but still a pretty cool print to have.

think this sold out last night. Their website is weird in that is looks like things are available even after they've long sold out unless you actually try to buy them.

Yea, it did. I'm not a website master, by any means, but I know there is a way to not let you add things to your cart that are sold out.

I'm pretty sure that the way they have it set up, when something sells out, they have to manually remove it. Gorge posters were up for months after they sold out. Since all of their sales are handled through Paypal (and the fact that Methane blames almost all of their issues on Paypal), they don't do a great job updating inventory.
But I agree with Nick, they could have it professionally handled to allow the inventory to automatically stay up to date. I'm assuming since they are a small company, they don't want to spend the money, even if their coffers are pretty full after this year. |

They are likely using a platform that just sucks - very few web stores are custom built these days, they usually run on something like Magento, etc

well, one thing I don't think anyone argues with is that methane sucks. Terrible, terrible company.
