Enjoyed The Wackness. Ben Kingsley is a fine fine actor.

Other recent films I've enjoyed him in: You Kill Me and Transsiberian.

i watched the peter jackson king kong for the first time in a while the other night. the action and battle scenes in that are stellar.

I love love love this film! It is funny, exciting, suspenseful, thrilling & sad. The buildup to Kong is great and amazingly Jack Black actually gives a good performance. Naomi Watts is gorgeous in this.

A great epic for sure. In my top 3 favourite films.

In fact, I think it's time for an avatar change.

just finished watching The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button again. i cried in parts the first time i watched it and teared up a little bit this time but at different parts. this was one of my three personal favorites from the films last year along with Wall-E and TDK. and i say fuck the haters, this movie really made me think about getting old and spending my life with someone in a way i never have before.

what were other people's favorites from last year?

Honorable mentions:

Mandy Moore (if you can really count her as an actress?)
Keira Knightley (when she's not grotesquely skinny)

Acting skills had very little requirement in my list.

Side note, I'm really looking forward to Taking Woodstock

not so excited about Nine, i just can't get into Chicago type musicals.

One of my favorite movies ever. So well layered and written out like a classic novel. It's almost insulting they had to label it was a comedy to get it to sell in America, because as funny as it was, it was hardly a comedy.
