I was on the fence but then my kids just bought it for my birthday (I think mostly for themselves).

I am loving the Bowser's Fury portion, it is fun. I have only played for about an hour, but I hear it's about 3 hours to finish the main part of it plus another 3 if you want to gather all the shines. So I guess it depends on if that is enough content to justify another $60 for you.

Agree on both of these. Two of the best games ever made. Especially BOTW.

decided not to open 3D allstars and swapped it for Odyssey. Holy shit that game is awesome. I also picked up a Ring Fit and had a lot of fun with that as well - actually feel the burn on that one.

I finally snagged a PS5 last night! I had just about given up and stopped playing the "check every time I get a twitter notification" game, but I was lucky and got one from GameStop. First game on my list - Sackboy.

I keep waiting for an alert that Amazon has some in stock. I plan on using my CC rewards to completely offset the cost. Still waiting...

In my experience those alerts never work. Someone seemingly always gets the alert before others and by the time you see it its gone.

As much as it sucks just any spare time you have while you're at your computer just keep refreshing multiple stores.

pretty sure it's not the same thing, but here is a story.

I worked for Amazon for a month in 2013. I was a picker in one of their many warehouses. Everyday they would announce something like "Whoever picks the most items in the next hour gets a $100 gift card!"

The first time that happened I was like "holy shit I'm gonna pick so many items". In an hour I picked like 100 items. That just means that my little portable scanner displayed 100 items and I scanned and picked them.

The winner got like 1500 picks.

The entire month I worked there everyday the winner had around 1500 picks.

The ONLY way that was possible is that all you were picking was gift cards.

Someone was gaming the system. No idea how.

That had nothing to do with anything but it still annoys me.

and btw. This is what a picker does.

You get a little handheld scanner. When you are working it'll say something around the lines of "Section 5, Aisle 6, shelf 45". It was 2013 so I don't remember exactly.

So you go to where the scanner says and find the item. You scan the barcode, and then drop it in the basket. When the basket is full, put it on a conveyor belt where someone in shipping puts it in a box and ships it.

The conditions were not nearly as bad as the media makes them out to be, but I'm glad I only did it for a month.
