The Phish (from Vermont) Discussion
Ghost 4.4.98. Go listen now.
I guess this could also serve as a general Phish thread. |

I haven't listened to the island since they came out. Phenomenal run. We were listening to the two live phish samplers last night from it and coventry. The 2nd one is a lot better than I gave it credit for. The SIHTOS opener is pretty tasty.

I love the Island tour. Def. a sick ghost. But then again..that whole run is great. I really liked Tube from that run too. Roses Are Free>Piper>Jam>Loving Cup> Run Like An Antelope might be the best set of music I've heard from them.

I'm slowly getting back into Phish now that I can listen to my lossless shows at work.

I've only gotten into Phish in the last year. Kicking myself now for missing the boat back in the 90s. I just couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. Then I heard set 2 of 7/8/94 and it was all over.

that december 95 run was nuts.
12-11-95 is my favorite, but then again, I'm completely biased.

hmm, maybe. Unless it is new to circulation. If you're recomending it, I'llgive it a listen. I've been on a Colorado 88 kick, so, this would fit right in there.

No, it was more of a "how is this show" type post. I've never heard it but the date alone kinda makes it an interesting show. A jam band emerging from the mid 80's when the glitz and glamour were the rage or music, and they pushed on into the 90's and still survived through the grunge and mainstream rock era. It just seemed like an important show to me, but maybe it's not in the eyes of real Phish fans.
