That 6/6/97 setlist looks pretty sweet

It's a good show, but still confused how it got picked. Song performances are all fine, but there's not one song where i think it stands out. Though the Seek Up > Heartbeat segue is really nice. This would be my 5th choice if i wanted to listen to a 98 show, which means i will rarely if ever go back to this one.

What's going on when Dave starts to sing on Seek Up, there is clearly somebody else talking in the mix as well, pretty bizarre. (4:22 into Seek Up)

Warehouse is really something. When i mentioned to them my tracking info still said "pre-shipment" on 10/14 they told me to wait until it had been 10 days. I reached out Friday and then again today, the response I got was simply "If you do not receive your order by the end of this week, please contact us again, so we can assist you further.".

In a time where COVID is impacting shipping and delays are somewhat frequent, this is by far the worst response I've received from any carrier including the warehouse on other orders! Just wild to me that the woman who replied (that i will keep private) thought that was an appropriate and thoughtful response.

Live Trax 53 - 11/2/98 | Boise State University Pavilion, Boise, ID (10/6/20)

Edit: I guess he IS a Ď58 baby, for some reason I had it in my head that he was Ď57.

Just got mine. Wow this Seek Up outro jam is something else. Carter and Roi took it to another demotion. A total ridiculous grove by Carter. To follow that madness into something so jazzy like heartbeat intro is why this band was so damn good.

Idk who suggested it a couple weeks back, but Im listening to 12.14.98 and its just a fantastic show. I think hearing that show makes this pick that much more frustrating to me. Sure its winter 98, but theres nothing really unique we didnt have here. Theres a Pay For What You Get and Stone that blow anything here out of the water.

Its also just Tim and the core 5 right? If thats what they were going for, they really could have picked a better show. Theres nothing wrong with this, but it just lacks something. Its very similar to that 2007 Live Trax from PA. We already had versions of all those songs from 07 so that one brought nothing new.

I generally agree. Iíd still rather have it than not, assuming this isnít the last 98 official release we get.

That PFWYG you mentioned is really fucking good. Ear candy all around. Nothing like it.

Agreed id rather have it than not, but i think it just further delays the next actual winter 98 release we get.

They should just crank out a 5 show box set. You know it would sell.

Definitely on board with that approach. Would also love a compilation of specific performances.

- BOWA
- Wynona (saddle dome)
- Proudest Monkey
- The Stone (12/14)
- PFWYG (12/14)
- Minarets > Typical w/ Bela
- Pig
- Recently
- Nancies

If we are talking shows, 10/29, 12/2, 12/3, 12/5 and 11/11(one of the Canadian shows without a tape). Thereís probably another 5 shows easily to pull from (11/21, 12/7, 12/14 for example)
