My only tour compliant is that I wish these guys would mix up the routing/order. I'm assuming they think the consistency is convenient, but selfishly, I would like to go to Chicago/Alpine, but can never do it the first week of July anymore.

Supposedly bc northernly island and alpine have the same management company, theres a stipulation in the new contract they sgreed to that says they can only play one or the other - heard from a chicago friend thats an entertainment lawyer for the city

Isn’t Northerly Island a major shithole?

The venue is yes. The land itself (it’s not actually an island) is very cool

Rashawn has to make sure that his grandchildren are set too before the band calls it quits . But yes, I agree with you.

How common is including an album with a concert ticket nowadays? It's the first I've ever heard of it happening but I don't pay much attention. First time Gorge trip here, I cannot believe my GM approved my time off.

I have a stack of unopened CDs I’ve accumulated free with concert tickets I’ve bought in the last year. It’s extremely common.

The free CD thing must count toward their album sales. Seems like a gimmick to pad ratings

Especially when we buy an additional copy for the bonus. They can put us all down for at least 2 copies each.

I would not recommend going there to see a show, especially if you like being close. The stage is really high and in general the venue sucks for logistics.

I somewhat disagree. I think it’s neat being in the pit, and it wasn’t as packed as some of the other venues I’ve been in the pit. Now if you are GA or have “seats”, which are just very small folding chairs roped together, then I would avoid it. We had “seats” few years ago and we just abandoned them and watched from an aisle by the food stands.

The walk over is very cool. Great, unique views of the city along the water. You would have to take the El for transportation though which is a small hike.

Without a doubt.....also keep in mind that it's with each ticket, so if you're getting two pairs to SPAC, you 'bought' four copies of the album.

One reason I'm probably not going to a show this summer. Just my personal preference but I did not care for Northerly Island at all, hated the venue.

This is the closest show to me this year and honestly the venue right now has a big impact on me choosing not to go.

but I hope Jack (and Brandon, I think) give you as much grief as they did me when I went there for my one and only time a few years ago

Did you by any chance recently take out a large life insurance policy on yourself?

Have there been any Canadaigua rumours? I'm sure they'll likely play there again, just wondering if there are dates being thrown around?
