That's the only reason I included the part about my husband liking it - previews made it seem really chick-flick like, but he liked it and there were a lot of men in the theater who seemed to enjoy it. It was actually pretty funny, and since the main character still plays in the NFL today, football fans can relate to it.

maybe it is good, IDK. But, personally I'm kind of allergic to Sandra Bullock

yeah but because of all the badass guys in that movie. she didn't do anything in that movie besides act like a high strung loon. any woman could have played that part.

The fact that there is actual Oscar talk surrounding Bullock and her Blindside performance is baffling.

There's gonna be "talk" surrounding 10-15 performances per category around this time, but it's still very early in the Oscar race. She might nab a Golden Globe nomination, but I'd bet the farm she doesn't get an Oscar nom. If she does, it's a good bet I'll throw up a little bit in my mouth.

I still think Crash is a good film, albeit a little heavy-handed. I always thought Brokeback was great, but I thought Crash was better. As time has passed I've come to think Brokeback should have won.

a little heavy handed? it shoves its message down your throat at the expense of any rational or plausible behavior by any character in the film. it's so far fetched and stupid.
