I'm surprised that 3/14/99 hasn't been mentioned much. I've always loved that one.

The AM.org torrent of Heally's 2/6/99 source has bad shns for d1t08 and d1t09...if anyone has good ones and is willing to post, I'd appreciate it.

Yeah for me 3/14 is the best show from the tour and 3.7 id put above this one and I really like 1.27 as well.

03.14 would have been a much more exciting release because of the guest spots alone, and just top notch performances. The flow is damn near perfect and the song slots are interesting--two step opener, early set Watchtower.

Def not downplaying this release or show though, I have no problem with people wanting to say this is one of the best D+T shows ever, certainly deserves to be menti Ned in that breadth

The show I went to in '99 (2/21) had an early set Watchtower too, and it was awesome.

That 3/14 opener is one of my favorite Two Steps ever. The Tim solos are insane. The Davespeak is great. Bob Weir, Santana, JTR debut, Bartender and Digging in their original (and better, in my opinion) forms...yeah, it's always been my favorite from that tour.

3/14 isn't close to 3/13 imho. Two step wasn't any more rare of an opener than granny back then iirc and how can you be happy about an early set watchtower when it is unlistenable? The santana stuff is cool, and at the time Jane was a great addition, but the song selection isn't on the same planet as 3/13. Adding that show in marin was aweeome, and it was a sweet benefit, but it wasn't berkeley.

I see your point and respect your opinion, but have to disagree. Is it the one of the better Watchtowers? Of course not, but I wouldn't say it's unlistenable. And it's just a special, cool kind of historic moment. (similar to how people say Sex Machine is unlistenable, but it's kind of more about the awesomeness of it rather than the actual performance, but I get what you mean). And any time you know that Watchtower is NOT closing a set, it's a good day. I happen to like the flow of 3/14 more, and I prefer Two Step as an opener over Granny, it feels like it really sets the tone and mood more. And The santana stuff is more than cool, it'd a be huge reason many people would buy and seek a release of it. Especially me. That version of Love Of My Life is fantastic, it's so good in that setting, I prefer it over the studio cut for sure

That Watchtower is awful. It's not that it isn't one of the best - it's straight up bad. And that's a shame because it should have been a great moment. But it flopped.

The Santana stuff is the only thing that makes 3/14 stand out to me and that's not enough. Just about everything about 3/13 is better.

Lots of comparisons of setlists and not one mention of this Last Stop. It's an incredible performance, better than 3/3, better than almost all band versions.

The Santana spot in 3/14 is obviously awesome, let's call that and Last Stop a wash, then comparing the rest of 3/13 to 3/14 and they aren't in the same ballpark for me. I like 3.7 quite a bit more than 3.14 and the Seek Up is on the level of Last Stop, but still the rest of the show isn't all that close to the rest of 3/13 for me.

To me, this is a top 5 D&T of all time with 2.6.96, 2.19.96, 2.21.97 & 2.22.97.

this is my 2nd favorite "The Last Stop" of all time, behind 12.5.98. It's an incredible performance that I have listened to so many times over the years.

So 3/7/99 and 3/14/99 aren't on dreamingtree so I downloaded them from am.org and got errors when converting them to mp3 so if anyone has d1t1 and d2t5 of 3/14/99 and d2t4 and d2t9 of 3/7/99 they could upload I'd appreciate it.
