Not confirmed, just me sleuthing and putting pieces together. I imagine DMBCorp won't confirm this, and we'll have to compare on 11/22 or whatever.

But it seems pretty likely the only recording we don't have on this entire disc will be the studio Granny.

Depending on the quality of the vinyl source, I'll probably either buy the vinyl or just download the bonus tracks.

So... considering the 'released' status of the acoustic bonus tracks, I thought of this wild assumption.

To go along with the acoustic theme, and the Granny release, I wonder (if they couple this with an LT32 release) if they are looking at one of these shows from this year's tour:

Hartford 07.11.14
[Only registered users can see links.]

Charlotte 07.22.14
[Only registered users can see links.]

The only shows that feature both Granny and STJL.

No, it's got to be something from 1994 or 1995.

One would certainly hope. That was more of a devil's advocate scenario in case they decided to go against what clearly worked for R2T/LT30, which would not surprise me in the least bit.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. You have two competing ideas. The "get out a recent Summer Tour release later in the year" and the UTTAD promo.

With the exception of 2012 and granted 2013 was later than normal, they have done this every single year going back to 2002, even when they weren't releasing 6 shows a year. Just looking at the release chart on the almanac, you have to assume it would be a 2014 as the next release.

They've only re-released one album, and they bundled that album with a show contemporary to it. Why on earth would it make sense to bundle the re-release of UtTaD with a show from 2014?

This is what DMB.com wrote about the R2T Bundle:
Quote:
Also available is Live Trax, Vol 30, 8.16.93-8.18.93, The Muse, Nantucket, MA, a perfect companion to the reissue of Remember Two Things and takes the listener to a certain place and sound in DMB history. There couldn’t be a more comprehensive picture of what it was to witness the band at this time.

I'm not taking a side in this argument, because I honestly think it's pretty much 50/50. I'd be surprised if they didn't try to get out a show from this year before the holiday, but if they plan to bundle with the UTTAD thing, then a contemporary show would definitely be better. My only thought on LT30 is that that album was taken from the exact same shows that some of R2T was, so it was a perfect tie-in, in a way that I don't think they have for UTTAD.

What if they stacked them on top of each other?

They've done similar releases before... only problem is... mgmt would then have this list of shit to deal with:

-Recently LP re-issue
-UTTAD LP/CD re-issue
-Contmporary '94 show (couple with UTTAD)
-2014 LT release

edit: oh and also that studio album they're working on right now

That studio album isn't coming any time soon.

You wouldn't pay $12 for a studio Granny from UTTAD? That's definitely on my list of things I'm OK paying for.

This is what DMB.com wrote about the R2T Bundle:
Who said it's a bundle of UTTAD and 2014? They could easily be separate, UTTAD in November, Live Trax in December. If it's a store release, yeah maybe.

Because they won't miss the opportunity to bundle an old show with it and make more money. They bundle everything they can imagine. I'll honestly be a little surprised if they don't bundle a 94/95 show, the UtTaD re-release, and a T-shirt/bumper sticker/cell phone cover.

Well they do have an extensive history of missed opportunities.

Ok. Time will tell. I'm going with 12 years of history, you can go with one release. They surprise me occasionally and really, maybe they'll do both.

Huh? I don't think that's true.

I'm going with every single thing they ever do is bundled up with a bunch of other stuff.
