It could be when you've spent about half that time undermining your own legacy.

BAM!

Have we ever taken a poll on that? Would be interesting to see how many hardcores bought that thing.
As a rule, if there is a bonus disc, I'm getting it. The bonus disc with that release was pretty good. Also, the live Warehouse on the live disc that came with the 2 disc version is the best released Warehouse.

There are a lot of Warehouses that have been released, but yes, it is one of the better ones. Personally though, I can't stand Ross and Warehouse is one of my favorite tunes (probably top 3).

The Warehouse salsa jam is one of the only places that I actually think RR fits.

I agree with this. Warehouse is easily my favorite song, though.

There used to be a youtube of this performance synched with the BOWA audio. Anyone know where that is?

It explained pretty much everything to me, Bluewater, drummer, TheNoise, thememan, rageATL, mersh... You seem to be the only one who can't put the pieces together.

I have a potential trip to Philly next month. Would you have any issue meeting somewhere public like a bar? I'm really curious as to how you answer people in person and what kind of tone you'd carry.

I agree with this unless someone can provide a waveform like the one a few pages back that proves it's not been "remastered" AKA brickwalled all to hell.

Not to mention that I used to be one of those guys that would pay for the same material again just to get the bonus material, but this is such a blatant cash grab that there's no way, not even for a studio Granny.

Eh, sounds alright, never been big on all these crazy vinyls or special releases, but I understand why people like them. If you think a bonus disc for this is going to be in any way worth buying the package for, that's insane.

Why? The value is just as important as the release itself, it's extra music usually filling the gap of they release so the bonus disc is usually better than the release itself and the theory of supporting them so more music comes out is not baseless. We as a group continually make Cap$haw jokes, but think that maybe that's not actually true.

I get it and while I welcome such releases, there's gotta be valued added there such as a good sounding remaster, bonus tracks worth hearing or both. This reeks of a cash grab and quite honestly, I could care less about yet another version of a song I've heard a million times (DN, STJL).
