Just read through that entire old thread. It was really interesting for awhile, but really fell apart towards the end. A lot of talk leading to not a whole lot it seems like. How could someone even manage to lose "the WHOLE 1997 tour in SBD recordings"?

One hell of a show too. Beck and Ben Folds opening. A slew of guests as well....

Looks like it was butches first show too?
Yep. It was a fun show. A bit hesitant and sloppy during certain moments, but it was a lot of fun. That performance of Dreaming Tree with Bela is one of the coolest things I've ever heard.

Just 1 year before my time. 5/29/99 was my first.

They always played awesome shows at Foxoboro. Remember Dave was trying to catch a grape and broke a rip, backstage at Foxboro if I remember correctly.

Hm, I never knew of a 5-30-99 SBD. Interesting. And 2-14-95... holy shit.

The two I was always after and could never seem to find were 5-24-98 (ALD) 12-18-98 (supposedly SBD). Has anyone ever seen those? I also had a rough time finding 8-04-98, but I think I finally did at some point. I honestly can't remember.

10-29-98 ALD is still one of my most listened to DMB tapes.

Both of these were mentioned in the old thread I linked to. I've heard a couple of tracks from that 5/24/98 ALD and I thought it sounded terrible.

Those shows were a lot of fun. I haven't listened to 5/29/99 in a long time. The recording we have is a bit distant and heavy with the bass, but I really loved that Seek Up, Pig, and LIOG. I'd love to hear those SBD's, especially 5/30/99.

It is interesting, right before Christmas Song Dave and Carter discuss Halloween only because of a huge sign in the crowd. Dave says, "Let's hit it tonight and give them a taste, Look at that huge sign", "Let's power thru this song, give them a real ugly one and hit Ants...Tell the guys"

Halloween:
