I kinda like the cover art, you know, aside from the blatantly incorrect song titles.

^^ What is "Walking Through the Water"? They had already played LIOG. Did they do the reprise later?

I think that same photo of Boyd was used on a bootleg I have.

This thread was a very interesting read. Thanks everyone, especially Jack, for the cool stories and info.

Here are some pictures of the only DMB bootleg I remember buying. I'm sure everyone knows the "Swept Away" bootleg, but what about "Swept Away II: Kept at Bay?"

"Import, $23.00" "Tim Renolds"

Man, I LOVED this thing back in the day. Before I discovered Napster and then B&Ps, it was really special to me. I had heard Help Myself and True Reflections at a show that summer ('98), and didn't know what the songs were until I got the bootleg. Now, it's just something that makes me roll my eyes and chuckle. Just about all the tracks are lower quality than the ones you would find now in SHN or FLAC. Most of them sound cassette sourced. It took me years to figure out what show the Ants Marching was from, and now I forget (I think it was 3/12/95).

I remember seeing boots for $35 or so, but $60? Holy shit.

Anyone else want to post pictures of DMB bootlegs? This stuff really interests me. Some of the cover art was so weird.

Blast from the past...this was the 1st boot I bought and then pissed away a BUNCH of money on them cuz I had no way to get the tapes. I still have a sh*t ton of 'em too. It sounds DAMN good too although it's WAY Dave & Carter driven, not much bass from Stefan at all but the kick drum is there big time.

it's unfortunate that there is so much stuff that is not being shared. i know for a fact there are a LOT more videos that are out there but not being shared for whatever reason. and i'm surprised we haven't seen more DVDs from stuff that was taped in 02 and 03 (d+t and full band shows). i know there was a lot of stuff i personally saw but never got my hands on. and it's just sitting in people's houses... you'd think at some point they'd share it cause they didn't care anymore.

Priorities change and some of those people aren't anywhere near the community anymore. It would be nice though if some of that stuff was converted to DVD from the master Hi8 and miniDV tapes though. Who knows what other audio may also be out there from the 90's.

I have a different Swept Away II (Kept At Bay) cover and a Puzzled Again (12.31.95 with the discs labelled opposite of the show order) that I can scan someday soon. I have to find it though. That will be fun since I haven't seen it since the late 90's. I'm sure I still have it.

I have the Puzzled one...I distinctly remember there's a Proudest Monkey on it and a lyrically different Crash Into Me.

Interesting. Same songs though?

...and does anyone have Swept Away 1? I had a CD-R of it a long time ago, but have never actually seen the artwork for it.

The setlist went:

Recently
One Sweet World Intro->
One Sweet World
Drum Intro->
Halloween

So I think it's calling the intro "One Sweet World," and the actual song by the wrong name.

Yeah I'll upload the Swept Away I cover art tomorrow. I haven't pulled this out in forever. I always forget I have it. Looking at the back now "Track 8 (2/24/95 Watchtower) with ....Troy Anastacio". Classic.
