Haven't seen it posted. Sorry if it is.

Great tid-bit of info here. at Dave and Batson talking about having bombs, explosions and babies crying for ABI on Stand Up. Christ. A shame that was Dave's idea.

Love that this interviewer did his homework and planted the seed for a full blown Blue Water return. Hell yeah, plant that seed baby.

Also really nice to hear the truth about his playing..his hand with his arm and wrist was interesting, it's almost kind of like he has to revinvent himself or something and re-learn this new playing style--similar to how a pitcher has to learn to pitch different when they lose velocity or a golfer has to adjust his swing as he gets older. So maybe he will get better, I noticed already he was better in '16 than in previous years.

I am really curious about hearing this album though, even it turns out to be a crappy one. I do think Cavallo is the right producer for this current lineup and sound of the band. Big Whiskey was a fresh reinvented DMB sound.

I know many didn't like it, but even haters can admit that a good chunk of BW songs have developed nicely in the live setting, something which AFTW and Stand Up have had trouble with. And the band enjoys playing them too. As much as we loved Lillywhite, the chemistry they had together just isn't what it used to be, and that's fine. It's a new era, and a new phase of the band, and they need the right person. I'm all in on Cavallo at this point.

Didn't read the interview. If it's from Boyd directly I would tread lightly to take it all to be true.

It's a bit weird at this point that we know Bismarck, Here on Out and other newer songs were recorded (even with orchestras) in 2015 -and the songs have been played live a bunch since, and the album won't be released for another 1-3 years. I feel like they should re-record all these tracks fresh if they do wind up on the next album, considering those recordings will be pretty out of date.

The guys on this station are actually fans of DMB. Over the years, ive seen these guys doing a ton of interviews with Boyd and Stefan. They usually have a tent at the Mansfield shows, and play the music from time to time.

Im willing to bet they are just like us, and like the older stuff. These DJs arent exactly twenty somethings, probably 40 year old dudes who like the same music we do.

Yeah those DJs are closer to us than to Ants on the hardcore fan spectrum I'd say.
