Pre-ordered the Nintendo Switch and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Will be delivered on release day, March 3rd.

Going to play the fuck out of that game.

Great game, but I'm kinda glad they're done with the series, it was just beginning to get stale for me.

I've got about 3-4 games in my queue, so I've been slacking as well. I thought I'd catch up over the holidays but I was too busy doing everything but play video games.

Banged through Gears of War 4 the last week. Fun time, it was very much a typical Gears game, for better or worse.

Excited for Horizon Zero Dawn. I may give Resident Evil 7 a shot too based on reviews, the direction they took it in intrigues me.

Damn I love Hitman, such a fun game. These Elusive Targets (limited time, one chance missions) are so cool.

I'm jealous. I want one. I missed the pre-order and it's going to be hard to track one down now. I may have to wait a few months until the demand balances out.

By the way, did you hear that you can mod the NES Classic to put any game that you want on it? It's pretty cool.

I ordered a PS4 just because of this game... I'll deal with the fight with the wife about spending money AFTER I kill a 60 foot robo dinosaur...

Yep. So far the consensus is this is the best exclusive of this generation and finally looks like a game living up and exceeding expectations. Walking around the creeks and stream and accidentally stepping on a huge ass robot croc that jumps up and snaps at you scares me to death thinking about. Sure to be plenty of shit my pants moment with this thing. haha.

And agree with the Witcher comments. That game is a blast and massssssive.

Played about an hour of Zelda on the Switch yesterday. Very impressed with the tech. If you use it as a portable console only, it's by far the most powerful portable gaming device out there.

It also, of course, looked beautiful on an HD TV. Nintendo might be on to something here.

Are you surprised at all that Nintento is still making hardware? A buddy of mine who is far more into the gaming/tech scene than I am thinks they should move away from hardware.

What I've seen from the switch is interesting.

But this is coming from a guy who is still playing ps3.

Nintendo succeeds in spite of it's garbage hardware and over-reliance on gimmicks. The last console they produced that even remotely made sense from a technological perspective was the SNES.

Nintendo is good at one thing and one thing only: Remaking Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and Pokemon in a bazillion different ways. That's it. They botch everything else. They can't make a console. They can't market worth a darn. They have no idea how to pace games or a console, I mean look at how atrocious the Switch launch lineup is, and you have to wait until end of this year to even get to see a Mario title for it. AND ALL OF THAT FUCKING SAID ILL BE SPENDING MY 400 BUCKS TO BUY A SWITCH AND ZELDA FRIDAY! I HATE THEM!

I personally want them to keep it up. I'm always most excited for a new Nintendo console. I also am a Playstation user - but those are really just computers at this point. Nintendo still feels fun to me.

I impules bought a Wii U a few years ago and the first party games were great but they just came wayyyyy too infrequently for me. It's hard to maintain interest when you're getting just 1-2 noteworthy games a year, as fun as they are.

I just got into Overwatch a couple months ago on xbox. This is the first game that I've never shut off because I've had my fill. It is so entertaining. never gets old.

That said, it will be hard to choose between Overwatch and Zelda on Friday. I'm grabbing Zelda for Wii U. Waiting a while on the switch.
