Embarrassed to admit it... but haven’t heard this show before, only the lore of the cow palace show...

What’s particularly stellar? How’s it compare to the other ‘96 shows that we have?

#41 is probably the consensus, but Recently is also great. There is just a ton of energy come off of every tune.

Teh energz!!

But seriously, it has great performances. It was famous due to it having a partial FM source but even listening to the full AUD, it’s full of great energy and passion.

Awesome. This show is fire start to finish. Dave and Carter particularly are on another level.

Haven't listened to this show in quite some time. Always loved the FM source and right as #41 is ending the DJ just says "...woah". I think in part the crowd noise in the FM source really elevated everyone's opinion of this show back in the day, including mine. But the performances themselves were so tight and full of life and you can kinda feel the band feeding off that energy. There were a few shows that year where Dave was clearly energized by the crowd and he made it known. 7/19 HORDE is another example. After Billies (encore), the crowd is so amped and Dave says something to the effect of "Blues Traveler about to come up and blow your fucking heads off!". While 1996 wasn't as loose as 1995 or varied as tours after it, that year still has some tremendous shows and captured the band at such a hopeful and exciting time and both band and audiences fed off each other for a number of shows that year, including this Live Trax. I can't wait.

A classic selection. Over the last few years we've got 3/13/99, 6/8/97, and 7/10/04. Not to mention 10/3/96 and 12/21/02. Now add 11/9/96 to that list and we are nicely checking the boxes of getting some classics.

Insane energy. The show smokes and was/is an all time classic. Getting this as a live trax is about as good as we could hope for.

I just hope the sound matches the energy of the FM source we all came to love.

This reminds me of DIDO in 2000, where it would close shows too.

Haven't listened in a while but I'm pretty sure I remember that Nancies closer being straight fire too. And of course I love that opening run of Recently through #41. Plus Minarets > Typical and the vast majority of our Help Myself releases are from '94 or earlier so it's always nice to have that show up too.

I'm really pumped for this one, nice job DMB camp

Have not listened to this in yrs, were those songs cut from the FM release or something?
Clearly they were released on UTTAD/R2T

Didn't the FM source have a full IBYU? Haven't listened in a while...
