***Were in a pandemic, please get your flu shot***

Dont be a carrier of the flu and pass it off to people that may simultaneously come in contact with COVID-19. Its super important to get a flu shot this year, especially with kids being extremely susceptible to the flu. We dont wanna find out what happens to kids or older folks with comorbidities that have both COVID-19 and the flu.

I really wasn't even given a choice. Went to my PCP for my annual. She just "time for your flu shot!" I was gonna get one anyway but this made it easier

Also according to Trump we are 99.9% of the way through the pandemic. He says this as we are still hitting record highs in case numbers.

Vote him out.

Been getting mine since the kids were born. All 4 of us got it earlier this month

Shit works. Believe it when they say that even if you get it, it will help you beat the strain. Both of my kids and I have had the flu in recent years and aside from a really shitty day or two of being tired we all shook it off pretty quickly.

Its not about time for me or convenience. I'm more of the mindset of if it isn't broke don't fix it. I have an immune system that can fight it. I've gotten it once in 10 years, but I do understand that this year is different so I am going back and forth on it. Part of me is also curious how my body will react to an injection that I've never had.

Yeah agreed, I'm not injecting a virus directly into my bloodstream, no thanks. When I got my meningitis shot back in college it made me deathly sick for almost 2 weeks. Screw that.

I'm in the same boat. I've never received a flu shot. Not sure if I want to get it or not. As I get older I'm sure my immune system will weaken. One day I'll be advised to get a annual flu shot. I guess I should get into the doctor for an actual physical. I'm one of those people who only go to the doctor when I'm not feeling like myself and I always feel great. Oh well, I'll decide what to do at some point.

Thank you! I'm amused by it though. First flu shot ever. I had to sit around for 15 minutes after the shot to make sure there wasn't an allergic reaction. When I was released the Pharmacist told me in about two weeks I would have flu like symptoms. I asked her, I thought any side effects would show up a few days after the shot. She said nope, it takes two weeks for any side effects to appear. Now I'm confused. Is it two weeks or a few days? I'm not concerned about the side effects, they're supposed to be minimal if they appear at all. It would be nice to know if the headache or low grade fever I might get would show up on i.e. Thursday or Friday, or show up after Thanksgiving.
