Good shows? I've not heard DT from 2015.

I enjoyed N2 more than N1...believe the taper was closer in N2 and the sound is just a bit better. D&T shows overall seem to have better quality from tapers likely because the noise/arenas are more suited to recording I guess? But for whatever reason on this one, there was a slight difference that made it better.

In terms of setlist...good diverse sets on both nights. Highlights for me on N1 were SDL, #41, Cornbread, Take me to tomorrow, Crush and Two Step. On N2, there were so more rare (for the time) D&T songs...Seek Up, Minarets and LIHOG were highlights from the rarer side, but also enjoyed run of Stone, Mercy and Jimi.

All in, a quality listen and worth a rip if you like D&T shows. Outside of Farm Aid, appears to be the only dedicated D&T concert of that year so there is that uniqueness as well.

The best D+T shows of the last 15 years, aside from 2017.

Cool. I've been ensconced in DT 1996 for a while now. I'll give it a look.

That feels like a dramatic overstatement. The mexico shows have been fantastic. There were some good sets at the Caravan, 4.21.07 is on another level than all of this IMO. Also a darkhorse pick is the oakdale, CT show on 11.19.11 was good (but im biased i was there). Oakland, CA in 2015 might be better they are similar though.

5/9/05 stand up release party. It's a fun show. Dave tells a story about Dave and Carter playing between blues traveler sets back in 93. It's been a long while since I've ventured into 2005 and the stand up songs sound fresh. I remember enjoying may 2005 back in the day (esp Australia shows). Nothing mind boggling cool about the show other than it's a small venue (of which I've seen quite a few great shows at) and a great tape (imo). The band sounds like they're having a blast too.

While the band was definitely enjoying themselves from what I remember seeing and reading, the fanbase was not.

As I recall, there was a very "wtf is this" reaction on the boards.

I was there. One if cooler concert experiences of my life. Just seeing them in that place at the time was the thrill of a lifetime. Show was great.

This is a bit revisionist. I wasn't there, but I think the description above is what I remember and what friends who went said about it recently. If I recall, few had a bad time at that show, it was a party and there were Batson chants during the show. The tour is where "the energy" joke came from. People who didn't go to shows hated all the shows, the people who went generally said "terrible setlist, good show."

Might have hated the album, but specifically that night in that building, was a blast. Which is OK and tracks to a lot of that tour.

12/30-12/31 1995....year before LT7 came at the Hampton Coliseum. A friend of mine told me this was his 1st DMB concert and figured I'd give it a listen.

Somewhat related: I've always loved the show from 12/31/94; one of my most played back in the day.

Jammy set, but performances are kinda wild in a bad way. Warren Haynes is on acoustic for Two Step and Ants.

I have no idea what show you are referring to. I was speaking about the overall shitfest that 2005 was.

Oh, now I see what show you were talking about.

I feel like this isnt covered enough. How did DMB link up with Warren Haynes? He was an active member of the Allman Brothers Band before DMB even formed. Did they just meet him in new york before that wetlands show and said, hey why dont you come play with us?

Just totally wild to me they were able to link up like that and form a basically life long friendship.
