Live Trax 03 - August 27, 2000 | Meadows Music Theatre, Hartford, CT

8.27.2000 Meadows Music Theatre, Hartford, CT is the third volume in the DMB Live Trax series. This was the third show in a three-night stand at the Meadows, a show that many fans have listed in their top 5 due to the choice set list and the energy with which the songs were played that summer evening.

I've never created a thread like this before, but I'm listening to this show right now and it is a great show. They were on this night! Seek Up -> Heartbeat -> Linus & Lucy -> PNP -> Rapunzel is great! You have Raven, Busted Stuff & JTR, some songs that have gone into hibernation for some time now. Also a great version of The Maker!

This is one of my favorite shows, Dave's voice is an A+ that night, plus the mix is outstanding. Boyd's solo in Nancies sonunds so fresh and clean. also it has an amazing Raven, perfect version. My favorite Live Trax barely over LT 7

'Roi always seems to shine in the Maker, and this version may be my favorite. His solo is not exactly complex, but it's so perfect and so beautiful. Whenever I want to remember 'Roi, I turn on this Maker (or Listener Supported #41).

This release is also my favorite live release. There isn't a bad song in the bunch . . . and the Stone>Drive segue needs to come back . . . now.

i just listened to this one the other day...great release...that heartbeat makes me wonder how good a heartbeat-->crush would have worked...that heartbeat just seems like it would flow nicely into crush and work perfectly.

Top tier release

I'd rate this just under Red Rocks and LT7

Nice thread

Second only to Listener Supported to me. Raven, JTR, Busted Stuff, Recently, Grey Street (extended) and Stone in the same show = happiness.

It really stands out when you haven't listened to it in a long time. I think the last time I listened to this was like the month or two after it was released.

This show always reminds me of when I first got into the band. This was my first show and when I got home I immediately downloaded all the lws songs I could find on napster. Amazing to think Dave's voice is this good and it's night 3 of the run.

2000 is in the Top 3 of DMB Tours and this show definintely supports my opinion. I also love the "Say Goodbye" and "Bartender" versions from this show as well.

I like the setlist, but the show doesn't really do anything for me. I like Live Trax 11 the show after this one better.

Agreed. I like LT11 better. Not to say down with 3, but 11 is more compelling to me.

Dave sounds semi retarded when he says "Busted Stuff" at the beginning of the tune, no?

No more than when he just says complete gibberish.
