There is a great Bill Burr bit where he says its BS that people say there is no reason to hit a women. There plenty of reasons to hit a women, you just don't do it or something to that effect

Savage but 100% true. He also has a great bit on people trying to cancel a guy thatís been dead for 40 years.

interesting. Big for that HBO Max. Is that the biggest title to stream the same day it is released in theaters?

Yeah it’s gotta be. Pixar’s SOUL will also be on Disney+ on Christmas Day but I think they are by passing theaters completely with that one.

On Election Day I attempted an escape from reality and saw Tenet in theaters. It was the first time I saw a movie in theaters since the pandemic started. The last movie I saw in theaters was Onward on March 16th, a day before they shut down. At the time I was the only person in the theater, and the only car in the parking lot. Eight months later, and it was exactly the same. I had the theater to myself, and it was sooo great being back. I miss seeing films in theaters immensely. Unfortunately nothing good is playing here for the foreseeable future.

As for Tenet, I was not impressed. Bottom tier for Nolan, IMO. Unnecessarily convoluted and video game-like. I didn't care about the characters at all. Some interesting ideas, but it was incredibly self-indulgent. Not good.

Finally saw Midsommar. Creepy, quirky. I was reminded of The Wicker Man.
