Yeah it'd be awesome and I've been personally hoping they'd do this for years. The acoustic sets were pretty cool, but I totally agree that it didn't work well in Ampitheaters at all imo. Even D+T didn't work for me in the amps. I just think it makes more sense in a theater, and the band would play more according to the "acoustic" style that way.

Do 2 nights at Radio City, 3 at Beacon, etc. Tickets will impossible and expensive but we'd get refreshing shows.

I don't think setlist would be much different with Carter there, I'm still pretty much sold that he's the main reason sets get stale. I have no proof but just based on Dave Solo/D+T sets...I can't blame Dave entirely. He certainly is cool with busting stuff out. And Stefan is always asking on Twitter for rarities to suggest to the guys to bust out. That leaves Carter to get the blame. Jeff, Rashawn, Buddy...these guys will play whatever, it's not their place and it's not their band.

As long as they don't bring that Dave Matthews guy. He's the worst in the band.

I would trade Tim for Jeff. I feel saxophone is essential for DMB.

Get a second drummer who isn’t huffing and puffing playing OOMH and ditch Ross

If we are modifying my idea (which was a stripped down four piece), then let’s nix Tim and just add Jeff and a real violin player. Basically the original five type of setup with a new solo section.

In 2014-15, we got various performances with these mixed lineups in the acoustic set. Recently and PFWYG at SPAC in 2014 had Dave/Carter/Tim and Dave/Carter/Stefan/Tim respectively.

I loved that lineup. When people talk about 2 sets this is immediately what I think about.

Well if we are sticking to the original post, put Stefan on stand up.

I feel like Carter and Stefan often hurt each other as far as hearing the small stuff but notice both more with Stefan on stand up like some of the acoustic two set shows
