Ha. Good analogy.

I saw someone on twitter said "Turner's covid had spread to Cash and he lost his sense of Snell." Lol.

Well, in his defense, I would've been shit-faced too.

And Kevin Cash with an all-time awful move, jeez

The cash move was bizarre, but you can't blame that for losing honestly, the Rays only scored 1 run. Also, if he left Snell in and he gave up a 2 run homer, people would complain they should have taken him out 3rd time through the order. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

True, but he was cruising and had only thrown 73 pitches. 73! And this wasn't any pitcher, it's their ace! WHo do you want in the game more than your ace when he's absoultely dealing?? He was pitching shutout ball at that point and who's to say he wouldn't have thrown a complete game shutout? Yes, a whole range of possibilites existed, and that is one of them.

Yeah for sure, I think Cash's thinking was also if they got to Game 7, they could use Snell out the pen for an inning or 2, but I understand you have to play to win the game in front of you first. This is where playoffs prove analytics to be not the best way to manage. It works in regular season but not for 1 game.

Marlins hire Kim Ng as GM. Incredible. I'm pumped, she's going to be great.

Also, I see Braves signed Charlie Morton to a one-year deal. Bummer. I liked him, and it's a great move for them.

Nice. Hedging would have definitely been the wrong move. You would have hated yourself this morning!

Ha yeah. In all honesty, they didn't even offer a series bet on it, only games, so only way I would've hedged is if it went to a seventh game, but luckily Dinos won in 6.

That's big for them. Not good for The Mets however, Mitch I feel bad for them. I know they have a new owner now which should help, but that division got really tough, fast. Phillies, Braves and Nats are no joke, and the Marlins are not too many years away. The difference is this new owner is a guy who would sign a Kershaw type player. He's not afraid to throw money around.

Yeah, I'm not worried anymore now that we have Uncle Stevie. I can pretty much guarantee that at least one of Springer, Bauer, Realmuto, and Lindor will be on our team, and hopefully 2 of them.
