12 years ago tonight was my favorite Halloween I've seen - McNichol's Arena in Denver. Good show, not great, but the Halloween was awesome to hear!

Alpine Halloween was by far and away the best concert moment of my life. Unreal. People around me had no idea what was going on but they were giving me hi-fives anyways. Unreal moment.

They need to release those shows. Especially Night 1.

I'd love the Halloween from 10-spot to be mixed and released on a WH8 CD.
Even better, mix the whole show and release it as a live trax

This was my first Halloween, my best Halloween, and the best concert I’ve ever been to. Petty at Red Rocks is close, but I’ll never forget how wild and fun this whole night was. We also got a fantastic Stone (sans a few Boyd skrees), Jane, Typical, Graves, and a nice #40 tease in the encore before Granny > WiW > Watchtower (w/Stairway) > Halloween.

The Halloween is a lyrical mess (which is 20% of the charm of Halloween live anyways) but Dave was legitimately into playing the song and you could see the whole band really buzzing behind him. Most of us have seen this band enough to know when they’re pushing through a show and when they’re genuinely into it, and this was one of those nights where you could tell there was nowhere else in the world they wanted to be than on the stage at SPAC. That vibe definitely rubbed off on the entire crowd.

It’s a shame this show hasn’t been officially released yet.

It’s a great version that even made it to TV. Do we know if it was actually on the set list or did it get played because of the aborted Crush? I can’t remember if we know?

I find that to be the definitive version. They definitely had the studio version in mind, which I really like.

Otherwise, Halloween doesn't generally do all that much for me, if I'm being honest.

12/08/00 (I think) at the Bryce Jordan Center is my personal fav that I saw live though I caught Halloween a few other times. Carter's outro was so powerful and the entire show was awesome. I saw the most shows in a year during the 2000 tour. I fully expected them to play Halloween again at MSG or Philly so I was really happy I drove all the way out there to catch that show when they didn't. Can't believe that was 20 years ago.
