Wound up picking up a ticket for Coheed & Mastodon for the 7th and Wolfmother for the 10th. Then the next day seeing NFG cover Let It Go and the rest of their movie covers.

This show was weird and made me feel real old.

Bob Seger and the Rolling Stones are two I wish I could add to my list.

Minor Rant incoming...
So I saw Coheed and Mastadon tonight, great show both bands really brought it and it was a pretty good time. The Mastadon / Event Poster was ridiculous and now I'm going to need to find a weird sized frame for it. What wasn't awesome was the mfking crowd in the pit. It was a whole pile of the worst of LI/Brooklyn/Jersey all piled into one spot. I spent THE ENTIRE NIGHT getting hit in every possible place by these two beached orcas who were flailing all around and just ABSORBING every free inch around them. Legitimately took a goth girl whipping her bleached AF hair in my face for one song because it was a better choice.

Have fun at shows SURE GREAT but jfc don't ruin the time for everyone around you just because you don't have any concept of your (combined) body mass as it wobbles all around you like a waterbed version of balloon boy. If you hit someone in the camera, face etc and then elbow a girl on the other side of you with the force of the rock that killed the dinosaurs you are just being an asshole.

Fuck. Anyway, nice to see both bands really still putting on a great show probably a decade since I had last seen either of them. Here are some videos, no AUD pull (or mix for that matter) because during one of the times that I was trying not to get nut tapped my mics came loose and the levels looked fine... they weren't.

0/2 on tapes working out my last two shows

Death Cab was a nice show and I have zero regrets about going to it over Camden N2 considering I have a pile of DMB shows to get Jimi rammed down my throat in the upcoming weeks.

Plus my dream of Jenny being there getting us a Postal Service song came true.

Saw The National in DC last night. The Anthem is such a sick venue. Incredible show too.

Last show: John Mayer 8/3/19, Columbus
Next show: Lumineers 2/8/20, Cleveland

Mayer was really good. We didn’t get Continuum in its entirety, but probably half the album. Though I don’t like his latest as much, it’s better live. Guy can play, and he’s got a good group playing with him.

Sorry!

It was soo much fun. It helps that the album is amazing. But the crowd was super into it, they are fun and engaging live, and people cheered as much for the Father of the Bride songs as they did for anything outside of like A Punk.

I had a blast. Sunflower was the highlight. 2 minutes on the album, 8 or 9 live,.
