I thought of that. I'll check. I downloaded most of them from that site I posted above though. After I check those, I'll update the list to see if I need any more. I know I'm still going to be missing 7/6/04's Sugar Will. The show is unavailable on that one site I posted.

Hey wow, I already had don'tburnthepig's website [Only registered users can see links.] saved. It's a great resource. Looks like I will be able to fix my problem. Thanks for the reminder.

I believe it was greppson's site that had all the 04 Crazy Easys and Sugar Wills. I can't find a link though.

"Too much of a good thing
maybe not so sweet".

God I love 2004 Sugar Wills. No era of the song sounds better. The space to breathe in the song is almost unheard of in DMB now.

The change from "sweet" to "good" is worse than cutting the third verse of Grey Street.

Saw on twitter Boyd’s mom passed away from Alzheimer’s. Do you think anyone in the band reaches out, or attends services? Boyd’s world is just crumbling down.

I hate the sweet to good change but yeah what they did to Grey Street is way way worse.

No offense but that is an insane opinion.
I’ll never understand why fans here are so bothered by that one word lyric change.
I always felt like Dave changed it because of how predictable the line was. Almost like he’s just trolling your expectations. You think because he’s talking about sugar, he’s going to say sweet, but then changes the word at the last second. But regardlsss of the reason, I really don’t care about it, because it’s just one syllable of an entire song.

Sometimes things are what you expect, because they fit and make sense.

"Too much of a GOOD thing, maybe not so GOOD" is dumbly repeating the word on the level of "while the farmers farm, the lovers love" from Come Tomorrow.

A little hyperbole never hurt anyone, right? I knew that hot take wasn't going to be well-received, but I'm not coming out of the shadows to make a bland statement, haha. (I guess I was little more inebriated last night than I thought.) It was tongue-in-cheek. I hold those '04 Sugar Will's in high regard, so my reaction to the lyrical change is exaggerated. It does bother me though. Just kind of sticks out (like the masses/masses in the opening lines of Black Sabbath's War Pigs).

Now if he had changed the line to "Too much of a sweet thing is maybe not so good", I'd be fine with that. In fact, I think that's better than the original line.

No worries, scotty_I. No one has plans to chase you away.

Isn't that what he originally changed it to in 2008 or whenever they first brought it back?

I’m almost on board with this. Real close call for me. Celluloid said it already, but the “good” for “sweet” is aggravating to me.

I don't like the "good" for "sweet" swap mainly because I think "sweet" is clever, "good" not so much.

Losing the 3rd verse in GS is aggravating to me if only for the loss of one of my favorite DMB lyrics:

"Take what you can from your dreams
Make them as real as anything
It'd take the work out of the courage"

That's just a line that rings quite true with me. At least we have these original versions that we prefer.

If you’re reading this and haven’t donated yet, you should. Particularly if you haven’t in years past. I suspect many of the same people step up year after year here, so if you haven’t yet, maybe it’s time to do so.
