speaking of archiving, does anyone have the 2001 Rock in Rio show available to seed on dt.org? I lost it and need it before I get into 2001. thanks in advance, I have it in the requests section.

it's the only thing i've been really ocd about since 2004. I download one copy of every show, convert to 128, and pop it on a hard drive, after labeling it in itunes. for example, i'll put artist as 'Dave Matthews Band', the song title, track number, and for the album, it's:
2000 - 12/11 - FleetCenter - Boston, MA and so on, per the Almanac. |

yeah, I label them instantly after converting, this way I'm done with it and I can search, without a problem. like when they announce what songs are on the new WH5/8, I already have a playlist set up right after I read about it
![]() it also comes in handy for this little project. it's kind of cool to revisit these shows, especially considering 12/8/00 was my first show. I can still picture my view from that one, all the way in the back of the arena. little did i know..... |

This is the point where this little experiment gets put to the test.

2nd is nothing. Hit us back when you get into the 30s.

Wait, so you download the lossless version of each show and then convert everything to 128kbps to back it up?
Do you still save all the FLACs? |

Okay, I'm on the Woodlands shows in 2001 and Angel has yet to go over 5 minutes. I'm still sane, for now. Also, the OSW outro is really nice in 2001, Dave really gets into it.

I download the FLACs from DT.org, etc....then convert to WAV. I then use iTunes to convert to 128kbps MP3's. Then, I delete the lossless files.

5/14/01 is a very underrated show. That Big Eyed Fish bustout is so incredibly clutch.

That seems like a waste.. your not even backing up the lossless files? 128kbps MP3's aren't what I would be archiving music in, but that's just me.
