And following the first time (at least since they went national) that they’d played The Maker as an encore. Super ballsy. Also one of my favorite encores ever.

(The unfinished lyrics part I guess I’m not putting as much stock in, but I wouldn’t use this as evidence of them being a different beast back then, considering they’ve opened with unreleased new songs as recently as last year).

And yeah, LT5 is great. And it certainly kills LT4.
Ah you’re right. But all those songs were technically “finished”. Proudest wasn’t considering there weren’t any lyrics for it. So I consider it even more ballsy in that regard.

So there has been what, one Live Trax released this year? Zero DMB Lives? This is looking to be the slowest year for live releases since before the LT series started. For perspective, other low years:

2011 - 5 releases
2006 - 3 releases
2005 - 4 releases
2004 - 4 releases

And every year before that was 1 or less.

I'd be shocked if an announcement didn't come soon for a holiday release.

With the 20th anniversary of BTCS and also the 20th of the legendary fall tour, coupled with the fact they are doing a fall tour for the first time in 5 years or whatever, it makes too much sense that they release one of those shows with BTCS. That is also why they won’t do it.

But spinoff: what fall ‘98 show (excluding 12/3 & 12/7) wouls you most like to see released? Some November gems in there too.

Any of them really. That 11/30/98 release is a total gem.

Yeah a Fall '98 would be great timing. Outside of 12/3 and 12/7 then give me 11/21 with the Flecktones.

I'd be stoked with 12.5 just for Last Stop and Recently.

But really, release 12.5.

Ah yes this would be another really good pick as well, we've talked about that Last Stop to death but the Recently is really good too.

Totally agreed and this is true. I look forward to the next LT being a 2006 release.

The second half of that main set is apocalyptic.

Pretty wild that we haven’t had a LT from 2005 yet though. Unless I’m forgetting something.

There is not a single 2005 show that’s worth releasing in full.
