The song selection is about what I expected. Hopefully there's some of these tour rarities coming:

Captain
Hello Again
Big Eyed Fish
Bartender
You Never Know
The Stone
Drive In Drive Out
Recently
Two Step
Typical Situation
JTR
Best of What's Around

But, these options loom too:

Funny the Way It Is (dig it this year, but prefer the above options)
Cornbread Funny the Way It Is (again, dig it this year, but prefer the above options)
Steady As We Go
Hunger for the Great Light
Sister
Smooth Rider
Stand Up
Crash Into Me
Time Bomb

Didn't expect Proudest. Only played once this tour. At least we know Satellite isn't coming.

It is interesting how they'd rather repeat TGIY and Again and Again instead of playing B&BB and VITR from CT... which it seems like Dave hates playing this year.

Midset Billies is always good.
Figured that would be the show closer though.

Possible closers on the table right now:
Ants Marching (will be either set or show closer)
Stand Up
Watchtower
Halloween (seems unlikely)

Good call, forgot Two Step somehow.

On another note: Captain is always a great inclusion. Dave messed up this version of She, which is a shame. This guest is doing nothing noticeable to save it. Pretty sure I saw Rashawn whispering in his ear his structured part to play. If you're going to bring a guest on, let him do SOMETHING.

The jazzy mellow jams at the very end of Typical this year have been an amazing addition. Buddy ftw.

EDIT: Alright here we go, Hamilton coming back on!
EDIT #2: Yeah, that's a perfect guest for LIOG. They're giving him all the usual Bela guest spots, and he's doing a great job.

So yeah this is what a LOT more of what a tour could and should be--a few TDs, some changing shit up and some guests here and there. This is a really nice set, possibly best of tour.

I mean even if you hate She, this run is spectacular, hard to get more solid than this with a 3.0 set.

Proudest Monkey
Tripping Billies
Captain
She
Typical Situation
The Song That Jane Likes
Lie In Our Graves
Funny The Way It Is
Hello Again
Ants Marching

Butterfly > Watchtower > Cornbread
What an insanely weird encore to end the Gorge on.
Kudos though. No real reason to add Cornbread, it's already 11:15 there, and 20 song set. Purely a bonus song.

Most of those are ones none of us want to hear, so that's good thing. No Crash is pretty shocking though.

The catalogue is just too big now. I'm sure people would've wanted JTR, YNK, BEF, Bartender, Recently, Stone, Two Step, and BOWA this weekend. But they wound up getting Last Stop unexpectedly, plus Minarets, Seek Up, Captain, Hello Again, Raven, Grace, and LLD instead. Those are definitely wins. You can't have it all though, sadly.

Personally, I think the Gorge was a great run. They only had two repeats, and only Again & Again actually felt like it, given all the guests on TGIY. If this were any album tour in 2001, 2002, 2005, 2009 or 2012, you'd have more repeats than that.
They also skirted all of HFGTL, SAWG, Stand Up, Time Bomb, Gravedigger, Crash, Smooth Rider, and Sister, which is a minor miracle in 3 nights.

It's also just a good year for performances. Having recently listened to Live Trax 44, it stands out how much better the band sounds at the Gorge this year than in 2016. Jazzier, more inspired, a little slower and varied in sonic textures. That LT44 show has an A+ setlist, but I never feel like listening to it because the performances are just more frantic and sloppy.

Sidenote: I love how DMB's YouTube page is preserving this summer's live webcasts, and even time-stamping each song in the setlist in the Description. That's a nice extra-mile for somebody like me who missed it live, but wants to catch up on a handful of songs.
