My thing is that I can’t fully break the live versions, where they are to me now, from the studio albums. It’s going to impact the way I rate all of the albums because the two of them are so linked for me. Aside from BTCS (CT this summer) I don’t really put the studio cuts on more than a tiny amount of the time.

I would love to hear Lillywhite's mix of the album. Maybe this is why I've never been thrilled with the mix. Almost sounds hollow at some points.

Probably a top 3 studio track for me.

I gave it an 8.

I skip Jimi and Rhyme. Still classic DMB. Love Typical, Warehouse, LLD, PFWYG, and 34.

I'm still surprised that people talk about the songs they love from this album and don't put Ants on their lists.

the remaster for vinyl brought a few things out I had not noticed, but I do like Crash's sound better but UTTAD gets the nod over Crash for me. That may be a minority opinion.

Nah, I'm right there with you. Crash, while still great, I felt was a step back from UTTAD.

Absolutely. I donít think the songs are any worse (obviously), but I donít think that Crash captures them nearly as well as UTTAD did.

Crash > UTTAD for me no doubt. It's a more dynamic record and more up my alley in terms of energy and the overall songs. But UTTAD is obviously still a great, classic record.

I think the snare intro followed by Stefan on the bass on BOWA is a great opening to the album and probably one of my favorite openings of any album. I love putting that song on while driving in the spring when the weather finally turns nice.

Lover Lay Down is a phenomenal song, but man, could you imagine if that was placed elsewhere and there was an album run of:

Typical Situation
Dancing Nancies
Ants Marching
Jimi Thing
Warehouse

It's a perfect 10 for me. UTTAD keeps getting better and better with time. Lillywhite nailed it doubling Tim and Dave's acoustic guitars. I find myself craving that acoustically lush classic DMB sound with vintage Roi and Boyd.

Warehouse, LLD, Typical, WWYS, BOWA, Rhyme & Reason, #34, Ants, and Pay For What You Get are all perfect studio tracks.

A few more days to go on this poll and we'll move on to 'Crash.'
