Am I the only one not upset by the fact that a professional would like to think that his work has improved over the course of 25 years? Not seeing the big deal here, honestly.

I would agree, except the fact that the front man/other members put out new material like Girl is You and Can't Stop instead of something like SW that showcases Stefan in a way better light. Funny that Stefan had to go to music school and then gets these types of songs to play live.....it's totally ass-backwards......

Maybe he has improved, but they are collectively not showing it by the way of song selection.

I think Stefan is almost certainly a technically better bass player than he was in the mid 90s. But that doesn't mean his creative output and contributions have matched what he did on those songs if that makes sense.

This is true, and he even went to Berkelee college of music recently and learned a lot. But sometimes when you donít know anything and youíre just messing around you can be even more creative. Sometimes knowing a lot of theory and technical stuff can put you in a box
