My bitching was never about what was included but rather what was excluded. I'd be on board with a long album or double album that has all the songs both good and bad at this point. Editing isn't this band's strength.

Edit: and of course by band I mean Dave

I really want the next “In Depth Song Discussion” to be That Girl is You so the supporters are forced to show their work.

CT is worse. I at least kind of understand the Alabama Shakes type of thing they were going for with TGIY despite the fact that Dave's attempt at Brittany Howard is painful. CT is just so, so lame.

These guys can trot out THIS album with Mark Batson at the helm with the most production credits AND include Be Yourself, but just the worst part of it that we all complained about for years AND Can't Stop AND that girl is you and the community licks it up off the floor.

This whole process has made it apparent to me that I truly must not be a hardcore DMB fan.

Typsitch nailed it with the Stockhom Syndrome post.
No, worst case scenario is they bring the ladies out for the rest of the tour and play Be Yourself every single night.

This is totally not out of the realm of possibility either. A real absolute dick punch would be if they did it at a staple stop like SPAC.

I thought we were discussing best case scenarios for some reason. That would be the worst possible scenario and exactly why I no longer buy tickets. You never know what you're gonna get. The LL's even ruin JTR, may favorite DMB song.

Yeah I think I mis-read. But yeah, the Ladies just make everything awful in the live setting. Glad they didn't ruin Virginia in the Rain or Again and Again, but they surely would live.

For the record, I love Bob Law. Always have and the studio cut is fantastic.

Yea I really dig that song. But I know electric guitars and actual rocking music is a sensitive subject for a lot of you losers

My least favorite track is the gobbles, to the point that I find its inclusion on the album borderline infuriating. But it’s also not really a song. TGIY makes me feel much the same way, so I’ll pick that one, but both Come songs and Can’t Stop are right behind it.

I’ll say this for the album: its complete lack of flow and cohesion means that unlike ED or SU, where I never need to ever hear them again because I don’t like any of the studio tracks, there is a spread on this one that goes from songs that I never want to hear under any circumstances to tracks that I don’t think I’ll be able to do without in the future.

Also, She is a perfectly serviceable song that the album needs badly to break up a lot of vaguely same-sounding songs.

yeah, I always twitch a little bit when I'm reading complaints on here about Tim's electric guitar etc.

We've been issued a restraining order on calling it that anymore.

TGIY is sonically awful. Worst for me by a mile.

The fact that people choose She over TGIY as the worst song of album is insulting
