I just hear complete adoration in Dave's voice during that chorus. Feels very genuine to me, albeit simply stated.

Come On Come On has really grown on me. I hadn't listened to the album the last couple days and that was the tune I wanted to hear first on my drive home tonight. The "cupid's arrow" lyric is the only part I think is cheesy and it's really not even a big deal, IMO. I can see this becoming a big song live, too.

His singing is what makes the song. It has emotion and sounds very genuine.

Not sure why it bugs you but you should get used to it. Nobody’s gonna type the full name every time. Acronyms are not new on the boards.

Great, now I’ve got Rod Stewart’s “Broken Arrow” in my head. Thanks! Haha

This is exactly how I feel about it too.

Those two words are terribly cheesy but the other 95% of the song is excellent.

Mark Batson produced the 3rd and 4th place vote getters thus far.

Nobody would have guessed that prior to this album's release.

My guess is that those are protest votes.

Was it gweeps or Gary?

If it's gweeps it's definitely a protest vote

Not sure what Gary's stance has been on the record.

When I first heard it, I cringed a bit, but I don't even think it's that cheesy, tbh. And I despise a lot of Dave's cheesy lyrics to the point where they ruin a song for me (I'll take the 2 words "cupid's arrow" over rolling the red carpet out for friends or whatever else every time). Plus, there's gotta be a ton of lyrical references to "cupids arrow" ranging from Dylan to Aerosmith to whomever. Long story short, I think we should embrace cupid's arrow
