Thatís what I meant, but I was just taking the opportunity to take a cheap shot at Jack Johnson.

Part 4 was worthless, only takeaway was that they like to drink together

Say what you want about Batson though, he did a good job for the most part this time around

It's time for some orchestra shows again. Hasn't been done since what, 1994? 95? I saw Elton John back in 2004 at Radio City with the NY Philharmonic and it was really cool seeing his songs fleshed out.

It'd be cool to see these songs live, the way they were recorded.

I was not impressed with the Here On Out orchestral performance. Seemed like a waste of a song to arrange for.

Batson always seems like he’s trying to convince us he’s a big DMB fan.

Just speculating here, but I get the sense from these videos that Boyd was never really involved in this thing at all.

"I Can't Stop saying this album is The Best of What's Around. Like, if I was to sit under a Dreaming Tree with my pet Pig and Stay there for a bit Lying In The Hands of God, I would tell my Sister that the Drunken Soldier would Leave Me Praying and then Shake Me Like A Monkey, a Proudest Monkey, a Monkey Man even, that Come Tomorrow is the album I would take to a desert island. I mean, these are conversations I have with my Bartender. And I Don't Drink The Water, if you feel me. You know, What Would You Say?"

Reading this was a good good time to me

Batson is always trying to convince Dave that he's a big Dave fan, because that's how he hoodwinks Dave into paying him.

I definitely agree. I like the song but the orchestral arrangement just seems unnecessary. I feel like that song would have been better served by being more simple.

mario is always trying to convince us he hasn't listened to the album, even though he has and he loves it.

Seriously? We’ve made it almost a full page without this showing up. Why poke the bear?

the Can't Stop -> Here On Out transition is real nice.

I really like the orchestra. The tune would get pretty boring with just a guitar and Dave's simple vocal delivery, and that bridge would feel empty. With the strings, this song reminds me a lot of Baby from SD.

these videos are so poorly made. The fact that the intro has opened with old studio cuts in two of the four videos is ridiculous. I think i could actually pick apart and breakdown these more than the album itself. As a video editor it makes me want to pull my hair out.

EDIT: at least there appears to be b-roll from these sessions in the final video.

I really like the orchestral arrangement. I think the song is lovely on the album.

Like I said, I like the song, and Iím not saying it would be better if you took the track as is and just took the orchestra out, but I just feel like a simpler arrangement would have served the base song better.
