Sounds like a pain in the ass to me. The demand for those shows would go up (and they're already kind of hard to get tickets to), and there'd be no alternatives for people who wanna see a show but don't want to make whole trip/big expense of the whole thing.

It wouldn’t be better for us, but it’d better and easier on the band and I think it would more worth going because the sets and performances would be better.

It also eliminates the casual fan who just goes to the venues near them. People willing to travel are more hardcore. Trim the crowd fat.

I just don't have any interest in 3 nighters anymore, not with the current song catalog. (and assuming they play different songs each night)

15 Spring 2002 (57)
21 Summer 1998 (44)
22 Fall 1996 (42)
23 Summer 1995 (41)
24 Spring 1998 (39)
25 Fall 1994 (37)
29 Summer 1997 (33)
30 Winter 1994 (31)

Pretty much all my favorite tours are the bottom half of the different song #'s list. There was a time I'd be all for 3 nighters, but with the % of the catalog now that is downright horrible I'd have no interest in seeing the band 3 nights straight. I just think that's asking for the sets to be even more watered down with garbage to fill slots

That’s a good point, but look at Dave and Tim Mexico as a recent example. Some really nice diverse sets with some cool bustouts. I think you’d get some more rare stuff played along with the shitty songs that would make it worth it. Look at Gorge in 2016, those sets were also nice and that was a 3 night stand.

this reminds me of the scene from Dead Poets Society where they rip the pages about how to rate a poem.

I would love to attend a 3-nighter of DMB. Too bad Berkley and Gorge are the only places that have gotten those recently.

I just updated these numbers on the main page to include the 2018 tour as of 6/12/18. Take with a grain of salt since the tour is very much incomplete, but it's interesting nonetheless.
