My good buddy Bhi Bhiman opened up for them in September and guested in their set. I can't find a youtube link, but man what a treat.

Incidentally, his last record Rhythm and Reason, featured Lake Street Dive's drummer and producer.

If you like them, check him out.

Alright, I take it back, this sounds much better live than the over produced studio version. The drummer changed it up a bit and it makes it sound less 70's now compared to the video up a couple of posts. Good change.

And hot damn is the lead singer sexy!

Great performance:

yeah, I listened to it, not a fan. It's too bad they took away their raw sound. They really changed up their sound and I don't like it. Oh well......

"God Awful Things" is so much better live. I hate the production on this.

Outside of the production on a few tracks, I happen to really like the album. Before Bad Self Portraits, I had heard all of those songs (with the exception of Rental Love) live and had played them out, so it's been years since actual new material.

Live versions of some of the new songs in this link: [Only registered users can see links.]

and damnit! These sound so much better live. They really fucked up the studio sound.

And I love the drummers fluid, yet relaxed style.

That's awesome news. The second album took some time to grow on me. It sounded a little too slick and 70's-ish for my taste. I like the songs more when they pop up in a random playlist rather than listening to the album through.
