It stems to the solo being handed to Boyd as well....people really hated it when 'Roi wasn't doing his main solo. Personally, (though I love both), LIOG was made for Boyd and Butch. I love the long solos...can't wait to see this live one day!

they both have the same 4 lines repeated twice, with a long, mind numbing instrumental section.

wow, there are some interesting opinions here.

-I think Let You Down sucks. Rivals WTWE as the worst DMB song ever.
-I think Granny is obnoxious.
-Butch with DMB >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tim with DMB.
-I was given Stand Up as a gift yet I have never opened it and I have never even heard every song on the album.
-Soldier Field was my favorite place to see DMB, and i would love a stadium tour again.
-Bartender has become a chore to sit through.
-I love break free.
-Stay is the bands best closer.
-I prefer alpine lawn to alpine seats (but only alpine, everywhere else its seats or nothing).

This thread is funny. Shows how many things people keep to themselves so they won't get flamed.

This I'll second.

Butch >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Tim

Tim did not sound good with DMB for all of 1998, or ever, really (with a handful of highlights here and there). I would rather see Butch play at every DMB show than see Tim play once at a DMB show. Dave and Tim, on the other hand, is fantastic.

I like all versions of Old Dirt Hill (although I would rank Dave Solo >> D&T >> DMB Live >> - Studio). I think its a fun song, and it makes me nostalgic.

I think the long version of Bartender last summer was boring.
