We were hungry before the John Mayer show in Pittsburgh not long ago and the only place without a wait was a TGI Friday's attached to the venue.
My meal was basically a piece of chicken with a slice of american cheese on top and microwaved mashed potatoes. |

It sort of reminded me of the first time I went to NYC. Went to see Times Square and there was a line out the door for Applebees and Sbarro

Tomorrow is going to suck donkey balls. I'm supposed to be at work at 3PM. I'm scheduled to drive the hotel shuttle since our regular guy is on a leave. Guess who is going to be downtown, about 4 blocks from work from 1:30 to 6 tomorrow?
President Trump! The government isn't releasing road closures in advance because of security, but the release noted that the bridges across the Ohio may be closed, which means I won't even be able to get to work ![]() And for the first time since I quit the Seelbach I'm genuinely sad that I don't work there anymore, because that is one of 2 places that he is speaking. I'm not a fan of the man, but I do still have an enormous amount of respect for the office. So yes I would have loved to be at work when he came in.

Dayton has had a pretty awful year, but just yesterday National Geographic put out an article about our truly fantastic parks system, which, not to brag, my wife is an HR manager at.

Dave Chappelle is throwing what they’re calling a “block party” in the Oregon District, where we recently had the mass shooting here in Dayton. They haven’t said who’s performing at it yet, but Kanye West has been spotted around town, so this is apparently going to be pretty huge. I didn’t get tickets in the lottery.

Yeah, in a little town just east of here. Looks like Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Stevie Wonder and Chance the Rapper are all here too. Pretty irritated that I didn't get a ticket.

Did not know Dave Chappelle lived in/around Dayton. Interesting.

Yeah, it's a little bitty town called Yellow Springs. It's always funny when the local media freaks out because Bradley Cooper or Aziz Ansari are seen walking around that tiny town.

Agreed. I got a pack of that stuff for my wife, and I tried one sip and will definitely not be having any more.

I live in MN and my cable provider is based in the Dakotas so I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that adding the ACC Network isn't a top priority. Does anyone get it now? I'm guessing I'll have to add Hulu or something like that for basketball season. Ugh.

I do not know why, but I have always preferred regular Cheerios to Honey-Nut. I know it doesn’t make any sense, but I can’t be the only one, right? They’re still crankin this shit out.
I can totally see why regular Cheerios SHOULD taste like garbage/cardboard. Just as I was once ridiculed for preferring IPA’s because “they taste like soap.” But I like original Cheerios and adore IPA’s. Sue me. |
