Eddie Trunk tweeted yesterday that he was going to have McCready on his show. Missed the interview.

It also got pretty much confirmed by Stone recently that there won't be a PJ record till 2013. Expected, but still.

don't really dig that.

if you would have told me 10 years ago that Vedder would put out an acoustic ballad with baby giggles in the background and it was done with complete sincerity i would have told you to fuck yourself.

The article almost suggests that DMB will contribute a previously unreleased track. But with the wording of it I can't tell.

I tend to like most of the Vedder solo stuff. I know you prefer full band. I'll have to give this one a few more listens.

while i prefer full band, i do like a lot of his solo stuff. especially those songs on the Into The Wild album. this is just crossing the sissy line that Vedder has been skirting on lately. dude's supposed to be spitting venom.

can't spit Venom if there isn't any there. Not sure if you were serious or not. You can't ask an artist to produce something from inspiration that isn't there. I mean you can, but you might as well just be in advertising then.

Eddie isn't a 20-something with daddy issues to resolve, who sees mostly the tragedies and injustice of the world. Sometimes people grow and prefer seeing more positive things. I know thats my typical stupid way of saying shit, but you get my point.

of course, then there's this article which disproves my theory

i was about to say...

the dude isn't Dave Matthews who gets his money, wife, kids, and stability and just gets fat and complacent. he was still spouting some fury 6 years ago on Self Titled and nothing has changed in his personal life since then.

now, a lot of his anger 15 years ago wasn't political. hell, i'd say most of it wasn't. i get that he doesn't have stalkers anymore and he's not being plastered everywhere without his permission and all that kind of stuff that fucked with him in the 90's. but the world is just as shitty as it's ever been and he's known just as much for his activism and anger and passion as he is for his talent and it's just a tad disappointing to see him basically neutered since Obama took office.

Seriously. Do we need Obama to lose to get the old Ed back?

I downloaded this album for my father in law, and did a spit take when I saw this track.

Pearl Jam's love of Philly knows no bounds.

I love me some Pearl Jam, I have yet to listen to Backspacer though, is it worth a listen? Is that even a question I should ask, probably not.
