I week and a half into my new 8-4:30 schedule and I'm still not used to it. I'm always tired. I've been going to bed around 10 and waking up at 6:30. I was going to bed at midnight or 1 and waking up at 8

I have to down energy drinks to stay awake

but on the plus side. One of my fears was that since I've gone from standing on my feet all day to sitting at a desk all day is that I would start gaining weight. I have to park about a half mile from the office so I get a nice walk in every day, and it's on the 4th floor (soon to be 6th once I'm done training) so I still get some steps in. We have a gym on site too!

The jobs sitting behind a desk will always drain you way more than the ones where you're up and about all day. The walk to/from the car will help keep the weight gain at bay, but that'll come, lol. Soon enough, you'll be coming in at 7 to get a half hour walk/run in before work and staying a half hour late after just to get a little bit of movement.

I did it for years before working at home full time, and even to this day, I do two 20-minute walks on my treadmill a day.

I see what you’re aiming at, but this is just patently false, dude.

If I'm out walking around all day, sure, I'm tired at the end of the day, but what I'm saying is if you sit at your desk all day, you'll be "falling asleep" for most of the day if you're tired rather than having a distraction.

I actually will have an opportunity to work from home, which would be sweet.

As far as weight, I went from this:

to this:

I'd prefer not to go back

We had our final assessment test today. It was open book and open note. I got a perfect score. Several people failed and one guy was fired because he was caught cheating. :smh

I decided to have shawarma for lunch to celebrate

Stuff That Doesn't Need Its Own Thread

How does one cheat on an open book/note test? Directly staring at the dude’s test next to him?

It was actually 2 of them! They both failed the test. The people that failed were gonna get a second try in the afternoon. The one rule was that you couldn't talk to anyone while taking the test. We were working on something else and he pulled the test up and he and the other person started working on it together. Trainer noticed it and gave them a death stare. I looked over and saw them and sorta laughed. They separately met with our supervisor. The guy taking the test just grabbed his stuff and left. The other person logged back in and sat there until lunch. She ate lunch in the break room and then didn't come back.

I didn't know if she actually got fired since she came back and continued with work.

I think it’s just the location that’s a bit suspect, haha.

lol I know, I just meant I don't actively seek out public restrooms to take selfies.

At least someone wasn't sitting on the toilet behind him or standing at the urinal.

goals for 2020.

1. Pay off my debt (well the majority of it). Shouldn't be a problem with some of the bonuses I'm scheduled to get plus I should get a big tax return because of hospital bills.

2. Take a vacation. It's been 3+ years. Either lounge at the beach or going to Vegas.

3. Get a dog.

It would be cheaper. Considering I would probably just fly there, buy a Styrofoam cooler, fill it with beer, and just sit at the beach all day and drink it

But I've never been to Vegas.
